Vision

WIB aims at strengthening the links between research in economics of education and empirical educational research. Founding members are the economist Prof. Dr. Kerstin Schneider, the psychologist Prof. Dr. Cornelia Graesel and the economist Prof. Dr. Hendrik Juerges from the University of Wuppertal.

Objectives

WIB pursues the goal to of becoming a center for research in the field of educational economics while also supporting young researchers. In particular, the institute examines questions concerning economics of education, research on education and education policy. To achieve these objectives WIB and its researchers focus on the following:

1. Interdisciplinary research
2. Interdisciplinary scientific exchange
3. Support of young researchers
4. Counseling in educational policy
